Grain signifies the weight of a bullet.

    7,000gr equals one pound.

    124gr is heavier than 115gr...

I bought my first mail order ammunition a few minutes ago. Bought a 500 round case of American Eagle 124gr 9mm FMJ rounds from Ammunition To Go. Actually, it's ten 50 round boxes.

    http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/produc...oducts_id/1522

The price was $114 + $0.65 insurance + $14.17 shipping, giving a total out the door price of $129.77. That's with in a dollar of what I would pay for 500 rounds of WWB at my local Walmart.

I bought a couple of boxes of the American Eagle 9mm 124gr FMJ from my gun shop. My 4th gen Glock 19 just loves it. I had a couple of FTE's with my G19/4 using WWB when I first got it, but it has never failed to fire when using the AE 124gr ammo. Needless to say, the Ammunition To Go price is much cheaper than my gun shop's prices.

I also like the 124gr AE rounds because they are the same weight as my self defense ammunition. I'm not sure how important that is, but it can't hurt to have them both be the same weight.
