    Pistols Mag pouch

Well, I am looking for some advise. With all of this Terrorist shit going on I want to carry some more magazines on me. I carry an extra one in my pocket, I know that's not the best spot but it works for me. I am 55 years old and got a little of that love handles going on, even though I am in good shape. I tried a double magazine pouch hard plastic and it just rubs up against my body. I just cant stand it, not a comfortable feeling. any suggestion on a mag pouch for concealed carry. I am looking for a double mag pouch.

    Thanks

well, what kind of mags do you want to carry? single stack, double stack?, big mags or small ones. I carry a glock g42. I have found that old knife scabbards for leatherman tools or swiss army knives fit and work perfectly for my mags. I can carry a leatherman and a swiss army knife both and not even feel them, also, you cant see that they are carrying mags and not knives. no one bats an eye. it is a good solution for the micro carrier. it is a cost effective solution and will not upset the people who dont carry. IMHO
    Best Regards,

Glock 19 mags no single stack and i carry a model 19 Glock. Sound like a great Idea for the 42 but I don't think the mags for my 19 will not fit into a leather-man.

Not to take your focus completely away from the mag carrier ... but are you also taking into consideration the clothing that you wear? I realize that certain body types require more creative carry options. But unless you have to wear attire that fits your body closely, you can carry lots of gear without anyone knowing. Obviously, however you decide to carry gear it has to be accessible.

I'm of the belief that you carry as much as you can and feel comfortable carrying. There are those that believe less is more ... and I don't disagree with their choice to do so. IMO there's merit in carrying an extra handgun. My logic is: if you're carrying a second magazine why not carry it in a gun. Now you have a backup. But to each his own.

Go to a gun show and take an empty mag with you. Find a knife dealer who has a box of used knife pouches and find one that fits your mag. Unless someone looks really close at it, they'll think it's a knife inside and not a magazine. Most people are not that observant.

The nylon pouches with the Velcro flap work well too.
