    Carrying Advice?

Okay so I have a Glock 26 and I'm looking for advice on how I should carry.

    Here's the problem.....

I'm a pretty slender/athletic female. I'm 5"3 and 110 lbs. My clothing style varies from shorts and tank tops, tighter fitted jeans and regular t-shirts, occasionally some dresses.

    Any help would be great.

    i think i'm in love....

k/d try an IWB, like a comp-tac for shorts. with a dress though...hmmm maybe a pocket holster to keep it in your purse.

I'm not too big on the purse style of carrying. If you're being mugged, the "mugger" is usually going for your purse anyway. So if you have your gun concealed in your purse and they take it before you can take it out, they've now got your purse AND your gun.

yeah, that's the way i look at it too, but in a dress i guess there aren't a whole lot of options to conceal a g26. if it's a loose fitting dress, maybe one of those undershirts with the holster. if it's a tight dress, the only thing i can think of is a thigh holster, but a g26 in one of those can't be comfortable at all lol

Yeah, I'm just not sure on who makes the best holsters for my body type. =/ It's difficult when you're smaller and don't have the curves that the average woman does.

locate a local shop that has a nice selection. they usually let you try them out.

if you need something in the meantime, the glock brand polymer OWB holsters are cheap (like $13), and work great.

the lady in that vid is concealing a single-stack subcompact. i don't think most of those methods are viable for the OP with her g26. the IWB, as i mentioned earlier, is probably the best for shorts.

good vid though for single stack subcompacts

Did you BOTHER to watch the video?
While there wasn't a G26 in the video, there was more than "single stack subcompacts" in it.
I suggested watching it for IDEAS, not specific carry methods for a G26.

Welcome to the Glock.pro forums, jt...

When you want to start carrying, sometimes you have to adjust your wardrobe a bit... You also have to decide exactly how you want to carry the gun...

If you're wearing jeans and want to carry (IWB) Inside the Waste Band, you might need to get a size larger jeans to accommodate the holster being underneath the waist band of your jeans...

If you want to carry OWB (Outside the waist band) or maybe with a skirt or dress, you might want to wear some sort of jacket or overcoat to cover up the gun... I'm a little bit out of my area of expertise here, but for guys, we just throw on a sports coat, overshirt, or sometimes a flannel shirt...

Make sure you check out the video Mvician posted... It specifically touches on using a thigh holster to conceal a pistol under a dress... That's something I would have never thought of... Maybe some other good ideas there...

Maybe Michelle or one of our other female members can pop in and give you some ideas too...

My point in this reply is to note that carrying is not easy... sometimes you have to make a few concessions to do it safely... You made a good point about not carrying in your purse... I would never have thought of that...
