    GlockTech MIC Holster

    Hello all,

First let me start by saying I have searched for this topic for about half an hour now, and have had no luck finding it so if I am bringing up old news sorry ahead of time. Now that the disclaimer has been thrown out, I have been looking at Glocktechs MIC holster.

    Link: glocktech.com/purchase/buy.php
Link: youtube.com/watch?v=nYC_Un8pPnA <2:30 He begins to explain how to use it.

Anywho, I had to break down and buy it, and i am wondering if anyone here owns it and can tell me what they think of it. I know it could have helped to ask before purchasing but for only $20 it is one of the cheapest holsters i have seen, as well as one of the coolest. I mainly purchased it because it would work well with shorts and a smaller T shirt in the summer of florida. Obviously it does not look to be ideal for long periods of time but it looks so simple to use it'd be nice for certain situations.

I am due to receive it here in 8-10 days, and plan on doing an extensive review of it after a few months of use. Until then I'd love to see what you think of it and if you own it, what to expect.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Well... That's one heck of a video...

I have never heard of a MIC holster before, but it looks interesting... unusual concept, but it seems functional... and it fits a lot of different Glocks... Let us know how you like yours when you get it...

If that's your thing then go for it! There is no retention with this holster and I wouldn't wear my firearms that way personally but to each their own.

    The MIC Holster

Thanks for trying one of the MICs TenderTox. I think you will be happy with the product. If not of course, let me know. If you're looking for reviews you can browse the MIC Holsters Facebook page to see what some of the people there think of the holster(s). There are over 5000 on that page and the reviews are 100% positive. We have police departments and federal agencies that carry this product for UC use, many are agency approved across the board. If you want some more detail on the MIC, it was featured in SWAT Magazine October 2011 Issue (on news stands now). Bob Pilgram is the man who did the article, he is a retired Quantico Instructor and a long term writer for SWAT and VERY qualified. He tested 5 different current deep concealment holsters and in the artice he stated that the MIC was the fastest draw of all holsters tested.

Bob also noted that the holster does take some practice or the MIC might win the "Retention" battle. So the statement that "these holsters" don't have any retention is 100% false. Glocktech is the first to point out that the MIC is not for every user, and certainly not for every occasion. The MIC does however fill a very important and needed niche in the deep concealment market. When you need to carry deep, and deploy fast, there simply isn't anyting that does it better.

Let me know what you think. If you bought your holster on or before Friday Sept 30th it shipped today.

    Thanks again, Mitch - Glocktech

just recieved my holster an IDK if he meant to include their "razors edge" model but he did at no extra charge to me and I am already liking the two of them. The razors edge grabs my gun a bit snugger than the other, which could be good or bad depending on what situation youre debating.

Expect a review within the month with plenty of pics and maybe a video.

I've been using a MIC for three months now. Personally I love it. That being said it's not for everyone. I always carry one in the pipe and want to be able to take my G27 and carry it in a jacket pocket. I also carry it as advertised IWB. Normally I carry inside a crossbreed but not all my pants are big enough. The more I wear the MIC, the more I like it. It's quickly becoming my first choice for concealed carry.
