Because they are always trying to chip away at our rights. They will say silly things like "why does someone need a gun in a church?" or find someone to say "I just want to be able to go to church without being surrounded by a bunch of nuts with guns." They will pursue any excuse they can find to put a limit on our rights. If they do this with enough of these small exceptions, pretty soon it becomes a patchwork of restrictions that either ensnares the innocent or effectively prohibiting the law-abiding from carrying. Where I live, they are always trying to ban gun from teen rec centers, but when they actually write the law, the ban would apply to ALL county parks and recreation areas, including some of the wilderness trails - places that you would not think are rec centers. Just walking my dog down a path could put me in one of these county parklands and put me in violation of the law.

As far as separation of church and state goes - that doesn't apply here. The government would not be endorsing any one particular religion. There are plenty of laws and exceptions for churches in general (just look at the tax laws), which are OK because they don't apply to only one religion.

In Ohio, a church must affirmatively allow concealed carry, otherwise it is a prohibited place to carry. Needless to say my church has addressed the issue in an open meeting and I carry every service.

In Kentucky it used to be a law that to do so was illegal. It has been changed in recent years with all the violence going on that now it is legal. I carry when i go to church but i do so with my weapon conceiled.

The State of Ohio. Revised Code section 2923.126 lists places even licensed carriers cannot carry firearms. Instead of simply listing churches in the statute, it says places of worship are prohibited unless authorized by the individual church.

    Thnkx for answering that one.

    For Texas :

    Restrictions on licensed concealed carry

While a permitted resident of Texas (or a nonresident holding a recognized permit) is generally authorized to carry concealed in most public places, there are State and Federal laws that still restrict a permit holder from carrying a concealed weapon in certain situations. These include:

    Federal buildings
Schools parking lots, or parking garages.
    Public sporting events
Businesses posting a compliant "51% sign"
    Correctional facilities
    Courts or court offices
    Election polling places
    Racetracks
    While intoxicated

Also if a building has a 30.06 sign this means you !

Here in Mo it is prohibited to carry into an establishment that maintains a 51% revenue off alcohol or to that effect

Yes, Os got it for you.

I must admit that I do not frequent 51% establishments, as I do not go out "drinking", but have no problem with their rules.

Years ago you would see the signs on the front doors of them, now I do not know if they are inside in a conspicuous location or what, but, I do not notice any on the front doors anymore.
