    Question Melonite, Tenifer, Or, Duracoat

I would like to have a Melonite, Duracoat, or, Tenifer job done to a stainless steel slide. I want it matte black. Can anyone recommend a company that can do this? I don't want to spend my entire life savings on this work, but do want a decent job done with a good turn around time.
Has anyone here had this done to any of their firearms? If so, can you please post a pic and who did it for you? Thank You !

    For melonite I've used ATEi.

    For cerakote Blowndeadline Custom:

Both did an excellent job. It it were me and I were doing a slide I would go with melonite.

Cerakote now comes in a spray and 1 can would do the slide numerous times till you got it right.

Well, yeah, but would that not add a lot of "thickness" to the coating? That stuff is kinda think.

Nice stippling on that G19 ParabellumJ. Did you do that?

Isn't melonite now considered the most durable super-stuff?

Nice stipling, yes Melonite should be the most durable.
In proper hands, the Glock serves just as well as the 1911 - at conversational distances. And such distances are the rule in defensive combat.

My bad it's Duracoat that now comes in a spray.

Here's a video of it being done. I would stay away from spraying the underside of a slide unless you mask any area that mates with the receiver.

I had a few 1911s done with a Severyn Hard hat coating. Expensive, but durable as hell. Been carrying that 1911 for 2 years in and out of holsters everyday, not one mark.
