Hello everybody, I just got a G17 n I'm going shooting soon n want to clarify something. I hear a lot of the "copper" factory lube. N I didn't see it in the manual I was woundering is that good enough lube or should I add a light amount of lube?
Just wanna make sure cause I also hear no need to add n to add n don't need to clean nor lube for 500rds. Thxs
Lol, Ya I read those n Thxs for the reply, I was looking for a more direct "yes lube it or no, it doesn't matter". I just don't wanna mess it up first time out!
A little good lube wont hurt. Just don't go crazy with the oil. It only needs a few drops on the rails is all that is needed. Don't try to remove the cooper anti-sieze.
I live in one of the most corrosive environments in the United States ! Every day when I come out my truck brake rotors have surface rust on them from sitting still overnight ! ! !
Anti-Seize is right up there with Duct Tape and WD-40 for this area ...
Here's my humble input I use Miltec products if it works for the military it works for me, I have been using Miltec for years as well as in the military. I hope this helps and please let me know how it goes. Cheers
