Last month at the range I had 2 FTE with Federal 115 g out of 100 rounds.

I have a lonewolf 9mm barrel for my G23. There seems to be a lot of talk about switching to heavier bullets to avoid FTEs, and even talk of new extractors/ejectors. You can avoid all this by simply getting a 9mm RSA with your barrel. I have NEVER had a FTE/FTF with my G23 extractor/ejector as long as the G19 RSA is installed with the barrel, so I don't think the extractor or ejector is the culprit. I think it is the stiffer spring. And since a new RSA is only about $10, I keep one with my lonewolf barrel and just swap it out every time I use it at the range. Since you are converting a G22, just get the G17 RSA and it will run flawlessly regardless of ammo. The worst I've had is casings flying out at a slightly different angle than normal, but never a FTE/FTF.

You make a good point and it is worth a try.

I have never had that problem but my 33 has a double rsa and could be the reason for not having FTE/FTF

Just to mention, my Gen 3 G35 runs great with a LW 9mm barrel and 124gr ammo. I haven't shot 115 gr ammo in years, so... And this combo helps me understand why some guys like their G34's so much.

I have to second the opinion here that a 9mm RSA is a must for total reliability with 115 grain 9 mm ammo

I don't think you'll have the FTE problem with the gen 3. Different recoil spring on the gen 4.
Thinking about selling my conversion barrel . I've since added two 9 mm guns to the collection. And don't use it any more. Just not sure I want to give up anything I have with all the changing laws, especially here in Connecticut. Might not be able to replace it later.
You should have no problem. I have done this. My G22/Gen2 is setup for .357 Sig with no problem.
