My G43, Question about Magguts Magazine Spring

I have been on a quest for the perfect 9mm pocket gun for years.
I really like the feel of the Kel-Tec PF9 in the pocket and like the long trigger pull that it has for pocket carry. I have also tried several and I do mean several different guns over the years. Even a G26 that I really liked but just a little to big for pocket carry.
Well yesterday I finally bought a TALO edition Glock 43 and with a trigger guard only holster it feels pretty good in the pocket. Little bit bigger than the PF9 but barely. I really like the feel in my hand and will be shooting it later today on my home range. I just wish they would have made it a 7 round magazine.
But my question is, does or has anyone gotten any experience with Magguts magazine spring to make the flat floor plate magazine a 7 rounder ? Reliability and how they hold up. Magguts just got some more in stock this week and I have one on the way.
Just wondering how good they are ?
Thanks in advance for any help

I may be wrong but 2 points from my opinion locker:

    1) Glocks tend to run most reliably when left alone.
    2) If you think adding 1 extra round to an already anemic magazine will save your life, think second magazine instead.

Id love to have a 43, all the pocket guns will be single stack with low round count... its how it works, cant get around that. Id rather have peace of mind knowing it will work 100% of the time rather than have after market stuff on/in it.

Its your gun, do as you wish... but they are points to ponder.

    ElevenBrovo,
They are single stack and low round count. Will one more round save you're life ? Don't know, it just might. If you can get one more round you might as well.
Do you have any experience with the Magguts springs ? That's why I was asking, because you are correct. It must be reliable. I will do my own personnel testing also.
Thank you for the thoughts, always worth thinking about.

That one round represents a 17% increase in capacity, that's meaningful. With the double stack 9mm many carry a larger (G17) mag as a backup. That's not an option with the 42/43 so an extra round in two mags is about as good as you can get. Finally, I find the gun handles better with the extended mag.

I've not used maggots but do use Pierce +1 extensions on my 42 and 26 and have never had a failure. They will get added to the 43, they were sold out of them when I ordered for the 42 and I just haven't got back around to it yet.

    MtStream,
I purchased the Pierce +1 Grip and I am using it on the Pinky Extension magazine. I have the Magguts coming for the flat base magazine so I can use the flat base in the pocket a little better. It should be here probably around Thursday I hope.
    Thanks for the reply.

My wife just got a 43 for her ccw. I picked up a some of the Tango Down Vickers + 2 base plates. They come with a longer spring for reliability. Just got back from the range and they ran flawless for the 300 or so rounds I put through them. She is planning on carrying with the flush mag and the +2 base plate on her spare.

    Para,
    That's funny.

I got the chance to fire my Glock 43 today (Sunday 2-28-2016) I fell in Love. I knew that I liked the Glock 26 but was to big to pocket carry. I have had all other sorts of pocket guns, but this G43 fired accurately, smoothly and just comfortable in my smallish hands.
Again I Love it. I usually buy only American made guns, but this Glock is awesome. Why did I wait so long to buy one. I fired 115 gn the first two out of the Magazines then 134 gn Federal hollow points the rest of the way through the magazines. Not one malfunction. Glock gets an A++++

I put Ghost +2's on my daughters G42 mags. They are about 10 months old now and no complaints from her.
