I just picked up my glock 22 lonewolf complete frame. Now this is how glock should make thier frames. The lonewolf frame has all the custom upgrades one could want. I am super happy
Can't wait to go to the range. do yourself a favor get one.
I've looked at the 80% complete frames and thought about it, too. Mostly for the idea that there's no 4473 record of the frame. I have a Bridgeport so finishing it wouldn't be a problem. Buying all the stuff and I could just buy another Glock.
I know it's not entirely for economy!
I looked at the polymer 80% percent as well. You can use almost all gen 3 parts but the rear rails are plastic and yes you still have to buy upgrades. I am talking about the lonewolf timberwolve frame. This thing is built like a tank and yet you can feel the precision when you rack the slide and pull the trigger. The mag release can be actuated without adjusting grip and the all metal trigger adjustable for both for and after travel. This is a thing of beauty. If you ever are thinking about grip reduction under cut the trigger spring and trigger upgrades beaver tail then this truly is the way to go.
I have owned glocks for years looked at these when they first came out. I thought yeah right it can't as good as a glock frame. Well after all these years and almost going with sending m6 gun to robar. I thought give it a try. Glad I did .
I just checked and wanted to save the money. They are shifting to the alfa barrels so once the 99.00 barrels are gone the only barrels available will b e the alfa. I asked what is the difference. They are supposed to offer more case support, tighter tolerance better coating. The relief cuts don't thrill me but its the best game in town. Now will I ever get a suppressor? Don't know for sure. Ugh.
So much for their affordable barrels
I have five Glocks. I bought a Timberwolf frame and a Adam Arms Slide with treaded 9mm barrel. A great setup for an upgraded Glock. The frame has a feel like a 1911. Their trigger is great, the slide is great with the Adam arms barrel. I have over 500 rounds thru the gun right now.
As you can see all metal rails. I even think more tal support than stock. They couldn't do anything about the width of the grip. .double stack .....but the hump and the reach to trigger great. Circumference of grip reduced.
Just got back from the range. OMG what a difference. NOT to say glocks oem frame is bad it's just that this is so much better. Now I need to adjust to slimmer grip. Next time I will try thier small hump back strap. It's feels so much like a1911frame now. Both 40 s&w and 9mm soft recoil. Perma grin
