Well, I only have one US frame, a Gen 3 G17. Seemed all the pins and other parts fit looser than my other Glocks. Today, disassembled my new 17l, Austrian, and, yep, everything MUCH tighter!!
Grayman, I've seen on a timeline somewhere when they started mfg in the US but I dont remember the year. The G42 can only be mfg here for sale here. It doesn't earn enough points for import.
Last year, I read somewhere that they do make parts. Their supposed to be able to make just about any model because they export to countries where they cannot directly from Austria related to politics and history. I don't know which countries are involved. But, they can sell from the USA to certain countries where they cannot from Austria.
As Mt stated, the G42 has also been "manufactured" here. The US plant from what I read, can make any die that Austria can and the FBI contract, all those guns are manufactured here in the US.
