The G43 fits better in my hands than the smaller G42.

It conceals easily in a front pocket of cargos and delivers the patterns I wish to make for both defensive distances and recreational plinking beyond 25 yards.

The G43 also loads the minimum caliber I want to use for EDC.

I agree with AimTrue's comments. The G42 is in the collection but never gets used. The G43 is in my favorite caliber, and while it will never replace the BEST overall GLOCK, the G19, it makes for a great carry firearm when I am in athletic shorts and can't wear a belt.

    G42 or G43 EDC?

I had a problem G42 and sold it to buy a Ruger LCR in 38+P. I do carry a Ruger LCP as a BUG but that firearm kicks my butt at the range. But it is reliable while MY G42? wasn't . I too, if looking for a good small Single Stack would prefer it in 9mm. The ones I have in mind would be G43, M&P Shield, Walther PPS and Ruger LC9S Pro. But I'm not yet ready for a Single Stack 9 or another .380Auto
