    Glock 17L gen 1

    Hello,

    I was wondering what y'all have seen for market value for a G17L gen 1? Slide is cut out, Serial is low, in the 140-150 range,if that matters. Has original box and mags but no manual..trying to figure out if the shop is asking a ridiculous price or if the value of gen 1's are higher than I thought.

    Thanks!

    Don't know. Don't see many of those around. Suppose to have a G17L gen3 w/ only 1 box of ammo thru it coming Sat. for $550 + $30 transfer. BTW...found this odd....Glock website has the 17L listed as lighter than both the 17 and even the 34....is this right? What is the asking price of the gen1, if you don't mind me asking? Are they asking some kind of rare collector price?

    That's kind of what I've found...the last one I saw went for $1200 and the gun shop was asking $1000 so maybe that's not so bad?

    17L's are more rare then most others I found. They do command a lil higher price as well. I was watching GunBroker and the last new
    gen 3 17L was listing in the $700 range. The used ones were in the $600 range.

    I bought a new gen 3 recently and got it for $600 + shipping + xfer fee. All in around $650. I was lucky.
    The next one that the vendor had, where I got mine sold for $755. This was on GB.

    When the last batch was released from Glock, the sold for around $580 to mid 600. From what I know
    Glock only releases a few every 3-4 years. I suspect it's because they have the 34, but, I think the
    17L is longer.

    I have not shot mine yet. I was gonna try to shoot this weekend. Everyone on here who has one likes it (17L).

    No, this shootin' iron is definitely heavier than the 17 and 34 .... must be typo on the Glock website.

    Who makes a good concealed carry holster for this thing?

    Yep. The 17L is lighter than the 17 and 34. The weights per Glock:

    17L=23.63oz

    17=25.06oz

    34=25.77oz

    UNloaded weights

    I see that the top of the 17L slide is cut out a little more than the 34 and I see the additional cut outs underneath the 17L slide. But still hard to believe that the G17L is lighter than the gen3 G19 as stated. Anyone have a 17L and a decent scale?

    I would not pay that for a 17L. I just bought one today from my local shop for $625 (NIB Gen 3 with 2 mags). And they even had 3 in stock.

    Is the trigger pull heavier on these 17L's? Feels heavier than my Gen4's. Have a Gen3 G26, but that trigger gets mushy just before it fires. The 17L breaks cleaner without getting mushy although it is heavier. It did not respond as well to the 25 cent trigger job as my other Glocks. Might be a little stouter striker spring, no? I have factory spare springs....maybe will try those in it and shoot it some more before ordering a lighter aftermarket spring(s).
