    I don't understand.

This is one thing that I just do not understand. We have one Glock model (42), that is chambered in .380 ACP, but Glock has the G25/G28 that they won't modify to be able to import into the U.S. I guess I don't understand this. What exactly would they have to change to make it import legal?

It seems to me they would be able to sell them here, at least I would buy one....I like the .380 cartridge, and to have it in a higher capacity would be handy. Glock has had these two models for awhile, so I wonder why they never tried to make them marketable here?

From what I understand the BATF has a system that rates weapons for import and the lager 380 misses by just a bit. Not sure where the pistol comes up short but 380 pistols are not big sellers. At least not till recently. If there isn't enough market to justify the tooling changes then no change. That and it was originally designed for European markets that prevent their citizens from owning 'military' caliber pistols like 9 mm.

If all you're looking for more capacity for you 42, ETS now has 6, 9 and 12 round mags for the 42 and the 43.

If Glock wanted to sell 25s & 28s in the US, they'd start manufacturing them here.

They are mainly for countries where civilians can't own weapons with the same caliber as their military... As I understand it, they are blow back and not actually very desirable...

I agree. My thought exactly. They want their manufacturing capacity here in the US focused on fulfilling foreign contract sales.

I don't know if they are still available, but the 25's used to be available to LE "agencies" here in the U.S. for issue to officers. I've never seen any in person, but if you read the Internet long enough you may run across some stories of them being sold by said agencies to individuals, which was not supposed to happen.

They could also legally import uppers, which work on G26 frames. Why would anyone want a .380 that's the same size as a 9mm??
