The mag loader that came with mine didn't like the last round at first, but now its fine.
Tip:set the mag base flat on a table then try, it worked for me the first time i loaded my new mags.
Hope that helps.
I use the trusty ol thumbs. Theres nothin like havin loaders fingers.

They are just wonderful
the glock loaders are difficult but hopefully will get easier to use.

Yep, Amazon was the best place... Thanks for the tip, DoctorBob!
My Buttler Creek UpLULA arrived today and I have to admit that it is pretty slick!
I got pretty good with the Glock speed loader, but there is a fundamental difference between the Glock speed loader and the UpLULA. The Glock SL presses down on the inner magazine with a bar from the top of the loader. Once you press down a cartridge, the new cartridge can only go back as far as the vertical piece on the speed loader. You have to press the cartridge part of the way in and then lift the loader before you can press the cartridge back into the magazine.
The UpLULA presses down from the sides so you can slide the cartridge all the way to the back of the magazine in one motion. You don't have to figit around getting the cartridge to the back like you do with the Glock speed loader.
The UpLULA rocks...

Have you ever thought about the HKS Loader? It's around half the price($12)I usually see for the UpLULA so you could argue you could buy two if you're willing to pay the price for the UpLULA.
They're slightly larger than a Glock magazine & have slots to fit your magazine into so protect against slippage of smaller magazines(such as the Glock 19/23 & 26/27 magazines)so these are one size fit all. I will warn that these slots do not will not fit the magazine extensions for full size magazines but I have yet to find these as a problem for the shape of the loader allows them to be set on a table or other surface without interferance; however, I cannot speak for the smaller Glock 19 or 26 style magazines with extensions.
They can be used with either the thumb(which seems to be the better choice for stiff magazine springs or to fully load the magazine)
Or with your finger
The neat thing I've learned is that you could put it in your stock Glock carrying case; it's practically like they were designed to fit in them from the beginning.
For extra comfort, I added a piece of electric tape around the finger/thumb lever for really stiff springs.
If you are interested, this is the site I got mine from but you may want to check around Amazon or so just in case:

Interesting... I have never seen the HKS loader before... Pretty cool...
Good post!

I'm kind of a cheap guy, and the Loader that came with my G17 works fine. I load on a flat table, and get into a rhythm. I can load just as fast as the uplula, and it was free. Did I mention I'm cheap?
I think that I will get one of the universal loaders to have on hand for classes.
