I'd shoot it with standard loads that wouldn't cause the problems associated with the Swamp Fox 200gr super nuclear rounds... That way your stock Glock barrel and springs should be fine...
I'd see how it shoots with all the stock parts and normal FMJ ammo... Then you might want to start thinking about the RSA that Don Glock recommended...

lol no point in getting a 10mm if you don't ever plan on shooting some nuclear stuff. 40cal is the cheaper way to go if that's the case. there's only a couple loads from swampfox that require an aftermarket barrel, and they have a warning on the site. all the other loads are just fine.when i talked to mike (owner) on the phone, he told me he's selling over 100,000 rounds a month of just his 10mm loads
jb, we need you to buy a 10mm glock, and stock it with some hiroshima loads--you'll love it!!![]()

Thanks for all the responses to my questions. Maybe I should have given a little back ground data and the reason why I bought the Glock 29 before asking about ammo and springs.
Currently I own, a few handguns. Probably not as many as some of you guys here in this forum. In the current arsenal, I have a Kahr PM 40, Sig P226, S&W 642, Ruger LCP, S&W 460 Magnum w/Nikon Scope and now, the Glock 29. The reason I bought the Glock 29 is for a general, all purpose woods gun. When I bought the 29, the 20 was not in stock. I plan on carrying this while roaming the woods during hikes with my wife and as a protection weapon while bowhunting. For the hiking part, my wife and I plan on hiking in Yellowstone National Park in September. That's the main reason I bought the Glock. I want something for bear and general predator protection, mainly for the 4 legged type. The 460 is out of the question, way too big and heavy for long hikes. I plan on carrying the weapon in a Wilderness Tactical Holster attached to the waist belt of my back pack.
So, how would I go about making this gun a specific bear and predator protection weapon? What type of ammo, barrel and springs/rod sets should I get? Should I still stick with the Wolff 21 lb. springs? I would like to safely use the most powerful ammunition available without blowing the gun up. You know, the nuclear loads! Sorry for all the questions, I'm pretty new to the 10 mm world. Did I make a mistake by getting the 29 and not the 20 for a woods protection gun? I was looking for the most compact and lightest weight option since I will be hiking many miles with the firearm.
Thanks again in advance.
