Recently purchased a Gen4 Glock 19 and looking for a durable and accurate laser. i really like Lasermax but they dont have the dual spring lasers and the ones ive found are not compatible with gen4. What laser is best and why?

Why do you want a laser? A waste of time and money IMO. Spend your money on ammo and shoot shoot shoot.

True. You have a point...which I shoot every chance I get, would like the option of having a flash light along with a laser, just because of home defense and my line of work it would be handy. Needing ideas and personal preferences along with actual hands on.

I wouldn't mind getting a laser.. don't know much about them - had the kind that molded into the grip on a 19 and took it off since there was no way to shoot without it.. gonna keep an eye on this thread to find out some good options for my 30.

I have a small, cheap laser that I mainly use when I'm dry firing... I got it at a local gun show... It uses some small hearing aid batteries... I have never shot with it, but it should be all right... Test it if you get one.

I do use a light for self defense... I have a StreamLight TLR-1s that I am very happy with... I have shot with it on several of my Glocks many times...

I bought mine for $99, but I think they are actually cheaper now... Streamlight also makes a similar version with a laser if that's what you want...

    Hope this helps...

See I would have went with the laser mount on the trigger guard but in that case I would buy a combo light and laser...really like that stream light...and hell I like the glock OEM light and laser but can't see giving as much as I gave for the gun...lol...defeats the purpose I guess..lol..keep the ideas coming! Great job so far...it helps!

Crimson trace seem pretty cool.. I was looking at those for a while. they have a shut off switch that allows you to shoot with out the laser. They are molded to the grip.

If I was going to use a tactical laser, I would probably use the StreamLight 2 w/laser shown above... I'm not sure how much more expensive it is, but it would probably be good quality...

Unfortunately, I have not heard many good things about Glock's light...

As far as lasers are concerned, I have found the lasermax to be the best setup. They are extremely accurate, the beam pulses so sighting the laser is great.plus you don't have to worry about any special holsters. Here is my G30 with lasermax and a TLR3 tac light.

Nothing wrong with my GTL22, bought it used a few years ago, just wish GLOCK would make a LED version of it.
