LWD Grip Plug, X-Grip Magazine Adapter: Quick Look

Hey guys, got my order in from Midway USA yesterday. I received the LWD grip plug, a Glock 17 mag, and an X-grip magazine adapter to fit the G17 mag into my G19 properly. Also on the way are Ameriglo Operators (Monday) and the LWD extractor (backordered).

The grip plug is just that of course. I can't imagine it doing anything other than being there and giving the Glock a more complete look (in my opinion). It doesn't feel like it'll be falling out any time soon though.

The G17 mag with the X-Grip adapter I'm loving so far. I could see the extra length affecting shooting so I'll have to do an update once I get some rounds on it, but if my feelings don't change, I may never buy another G19 magazine. I have the two G19 mags for CC if needed, but then I can get the capacity and essentially the grip length as well of the full-size Glocks.

A couple more pictures I took earlier today; I didn't realize how much of a grip angle difference there was between the 17 and the 19 (may explain why the 19 felt more natural than the 17 to me).

I'm liking it a lot as well. One thing I did with it is take a small piece of electrical tape and wrap it around about half of the magazine right there at the bottom, so that the adapter fits REALLY snug. There's no way it's coming off now, without someone really wanting it off.

Also got my Ameriglo Operators installed- loving them, can't wait to get them to the range this weekend.

Hi Aaron, great photo comparison of the G19 & G17 mags. I did exactly the same to my G26, implementing the mag and X-Grip combo, I love it! The only difference is I did't do the Geip Plug. I see it doesn't make any difference in the use of the X-Grip. I thought it may interfere withe X-Grip, but it didn't. It doesn't have any particular purpose, just fills in the nothing opening, right. Maybe, keeping dust and foreign objects , etc. from getting in there.
