Hey everyone still thinking about getting the wife a Glock most likely the Glock 26. Which holster would be safe for her to keep this in the purse loaded.

One of the Remora holsters might do the trick...
They don't have any belt loops and are somewhat flexible, but not so flexible that you could pull the trigger...

Thanks very much for the advice I really appreciate it.

Sometimes you can get a custom holster stitched into a purse but I have no idea where you would go for that. Just do the research for it and you'll probably find something.
Another thought... Some of our local gun shows have purses made especially for carrying a gun... Special compartments and stuff like that. I don't have a website link or anything, but you might Google around and find something.

Yeah, my Step-Mother has always liked these purses with the built in holsters. They typically is a zipper or velcro between the two sections of the purse that is where the firearm is stored. The user can have the purse on their shoulder and their hand in the pocket on the firearm if they feel they are in danger.
My wife, being younger has never liked the looks of the purses. I guess they aren't fashionable enough.
Also, in my opinion, one of the dangers a woman faces is having her purse snatched. If a bad guy snatches the purse, the purse and the firearm is gone.

I agree with the concern about holstering a gun in a purse because of the snatch-ability factor but my greater concern with the Glocks is a secure and rigid covering by the holster of the trigger and trigger guard. As a new semi-auto striker fired (i.e. no manual safety) concealed-carry shooter I've come to appreciate more and more the BlackHawk Serpa for my Glock G19 Gen 3. I actually carry mine in warm weather and when traveling in our car in the Blackhawk with the paddle on it inside a Walmart fanny pack ($9.99). The secure covering of the trigger guard and the locked-into-the-holster feature helped me while I overcame some bad habits of placing my finger into the trigger guard when drawing my gun which I had developed with my double-action revolver.
The modest investment in the BlackHawk style of holster provides a safe way to get started until the shooter decides on their preferred style of carry and preferred design of holster. I have come to appreciate the comfort and close fit-ability of a well fitted leather holster but I still value my BlackHawk Serpa for carrying my Glock.
