Note to any new members to GLOCK, the .380 models cannot be imported by civilians into the USA. They don't meet the minimum number requirement for import. Law Enforcement can have them, if for some reason they chose to, but the sizes are the same as the G19 so why would you go with a smaller cartridge with no gain in conceal-ability. The .380 models have been known to popup for sale here and there and to my knowledge, there is no law against a civilian owning one.

It's on Wikipedia, so it must be true . Ahahahahahaha!

This is my understanding of it as well. The G17 was the 17th patent by the glock company (which had other products before making guns and multiple patents on guns before finalizing the 17). After that, they went in order of release of new models.

That is correct, Zenas, with the exception of the G17L all other model numbers are in the order of the patents. The earlier patents were for knives and
entrenching tools. I have not gone back to check, but SFGuard (I think) posted a thread on the history of the Glock about a year ago. Very informative!

I wish glock would also make a slim frame 9mm version, I love the baby glock but a slim frame compact 9mm would be sweet!
