Springfield XDS single stack 45 VS Glock 36 single stack 45

If you had a choice which gun would you own...............XDS 45 or Glock 36. I know the XDS 45 is not out yet but why get one when Glock has single stack Model 36, I would be inclined to stay with Glock and get a 36. Please post your vote.

I saw some pictures of the XDS-45 on this month's Rifleman magazine... It is a hot looking gun!

I have never seen or fired a Glock 36... and they seem kind of like an odd man out Glock... single stack .45... I don't know... I'd try to read more articles on the XDS-45...

Found a YouTube Video... Rob Latham at Shot Show...

    Nice gun...

The Glock platform is simple to repair without the need to return it to the manufacturer. Capacity of the G36 is one more than the XDs. New pistols usally need bugs resolved. So first editions are risky. I have a G36 and it is a reliable accurate pistol nice and thinner than a G30. Had a few modifications done by Salient Arms and it is reliable and easy to clean. That being said I also have a G30 SF.

The Springers are nice guns. The only thing I don't care for about them is the slide height, which makes the sight picture higher in relation to the shooters grip. This may cause a muscle memory issue for someone whom is accustomed to shooting the Glocks. It could also cause increased muzzle flip since the slide is higher than the hand and wrist while shooting.

I would vote for the Glock even though I am not a fan of having a single stack.

I have been thinking very long and hard about making the leap to a .45. Glock is the only pistol I have even considered, for many reasons. I am stuck between a 30 vs 36. Decisions - decisions. I own a 26 and I'll bet the 36 won't fit in any of my 26 holsters. Only thing holding me back is $$$. My pistol fund is almost nil.

I would go with the 30. You can use 21 magazines, and the grip is still comfortable even if you are used to the smaller grips. The 30 will not fit in the 26 holster.

That's going to be up to your own judgement. I would recommend trying to find a SF and holding it. I have average sized hands and find the standard Glock grips to be adequate. Your mileage may vary.

This is my problem with the SDs.
