Erratic Ejection

On my G22, the extractor had a piece totaling about 1/4 length of the tooth on the bottom chipped away. So I ordered a new OEM part from MidwayUSA, because the chipped original would not extract every now and then. Well it came in a couple days ago, so I swapped the old out for the new and headed out to the range.

Shooting WWB ammo as I had before with the old extractor in the gun, spent shells would land in a neat little 2-3 foot group a few feet away. But now, with the new extractor, spent shells get flung erratically all over the place. From coming up and hitting my head to a 45 degree angle of my front right, landing either right next to me or a few feet away.

So my question is, what do/can I do to tune the new extractor up?

I would not try to modify the Extractor, if you remove to much material you could end up with double feeds. This part will shoot in. Also the ammo you are using could make a difference on where the ejected casings end up. Damn the casings and full speed ahead! :)

Oh your talking about with a pistol never mind..... give it a couple hundred more rounds and see what happens with it.

Yup, its the right extractor. I do have another plunger, but havent put it in yet.

I did figure that it would shoot in after a few hundred rounds.

Nope, I didnt change the ejector.
