New Glock model rumors **G41 info and videos on pg 15**

I recently saw a magazine ad for a new Glock model, a G42. In looking for info on that, I found other rumors of another newie, a Glock G41.

The speculation is that the G41 will be a G34/35 tactical practical model in .45 and the G42 a compact .380.

Has as anyone else heard of these? Any thoughts on what they are, or just wishes for what you would like them to be?

This is interesting. I wonder what the Glock 40 will be??? The last number was the G39, sub-compact .45 GAP. The Glock 25 is currently the Compact .380 ACP, though is not imported into the U.S. (neither is the Sub-Compact Glock 28; .380 Auto). I'm always excited to hear about new Glock stuff!

i saw speculation on that as well... Since the G22, G23 and G27s are all collectively called "Glock 40s", the speculation was using the number "40" in a model name may be confusing.

Ah man! I can empathize with that though process, but skipping a number would just tickle my OCD! Honestly though, as much as I love Glock, their model numbering system is NOT intuitive at all anyway; by any means. VERY few people know that it originated with Gaston's international patent number. The Glock 17 was Glock's 17th international patent. Most people think it was because the Glock 17 had a 17 round magazine...CONFUSING coincidence for most people. Believe it or not, a few months ago, I actually heard a Glock Certified Armorer tell someone that the Glock 17 was named after it's 17 round magazine capacity...that hurt.

Another little interesting bit on Glock model numbers; a lot of people say that if it started as Glock's 17th international patent, and now continues in numerical order, why was the Glock 22 released BEFORE the Glock 20 and Glock 21...it's because the 20 and 21 were on the drawing board first

Anyway, enough nerd ranting. Thanks for the info Ed!!

I didn't know the 380 Glocks were not imported into the US. There goes my master plan of replacing my Highpoint 380 with a Glock 380.

Oh my god new Glocks are coming out???? I I I just can't get enough Glocks in my collection. It'll never end .... my thirst for all things Glock. I'm working on acquiring number eight as I type. I just love taking them apart right down to the last pin then putting them back together. Hmmm can't be that thirsty, I don't have the Glock knife or shovel. Damn another thing I'm going to have to take care of......

I've heard the same rumors... Nothing concrete though...

Not sure what a practical .45 Glock would be used for... other than for fun...
