Need advice on carrying the 19

Hello from Ohio. I want to get a 19 but am concerned about IWB carry. I am a bit under 5'7 weigh 195, will the 19 work IWB? I habitually wear loose shirts. Thanks.

Welcome fellow Buckeye. I carry a 19 most of the time IWB and I'm 6'2" 215. A good belt and holster is the key!

For carry check out a 26 with the pearce grip extension. It makes the grip size very close to a 19

I'm 5'-9'... 160lbs and carry my 19 AIWB. Like djm said, a good quality gun belt and good holster are key and you will be fine.

    5'9" 175 lbs and pack a G17 with a t-shirt.

    You should be ok.

I tried a lot of holsters and have plenty collecting dust. I finally found one that's comfy IWB. Made by a Special Forces guy. It's the thinnest, closely molded Kydex you can have without risk of it changing shape from being left in the sun.

Also, comes with three options of mounting attachments no extra charge. 100% trigger coverage and adjustable tension / rubber donuts.

I'm your weight, 2 inches taller, with longer torso proportion, not bellied, and it's comfortable all day for me.

my general thought is that you should be OK. just to clarify, though, what position on your belt do you plan IWB?
    Question your assumptions

    I'M 5'10 180, I'm in Fla and I wear my G19 everywhere I go, I wear a dark colored
tee shirt with jeans or shorts, now if you wear a IWP, you will have to wear your pants
about a size larger, that I can not do. I wear a Blade-Tech kydex holster and I never have
any problem, love it, thats my preference.
Hope you find what will do best for you, let us know.
