    3.5 trigger question

I want a lighter pull but a drop in (no grinding, etc) for my 26 & 19. Will a Glock brand 3.5 connector do the trick? Or is there another that's better. Thanks!

Any of the connectors sold as "3.5 pound" will probably do the trick: Scherer, Glock, GlockTriggers, Ghost, and Lone Wolf. Of those, I think that the Glock is probably the most expensive, at about $25 from Glockmeister.

In addition, I recommend a heavy trigger spring (I use Wolff), which reduces the pull about a half-pound. You can get that from the same place you order the connector.

I tried several in the past and only the Glock factory part functioned to my satisfaction. The OEM parts were either gritty and/or stacked badly. Scherer was the worst. However, this was 10 years ago so they may have improved their products.

I've got Zev Technologies / Glockworx V3 Race Connector. Extremely smooth without changing any springs. YMMV.

Although often referred to as 3.5# the GLOCK OEM (-) connector is more like 4.5#.

I prefer the following, in this order ....

    GLOCK OEM (-)
    Ghost Ultimate
    Ghost Ranger 4.5#

All give a very nice feel IMO.

If you are looking for a drop-in competition trigger I HIGHLY recommend GLOCKTriggers.com. Jeff puts out some incredible work. I have a Challenger in my IDPA gun and LOVE it. Amazing.

I have a Ghost Rocket 3.5 with SD springs in my 34 and 30SF. Both are very smooth triggers now. The reason I went with the Rocket was to be able to get rid of over travel. If the Ghost 3.5 Ultimate is as smooth and crisp as the Rocket, then I recommend it without hesitation.

Are all these just drop in parts, or is there some type of adjustment to make for these part to fit and function properly?

    Thanks,
    David

The Ghost Rocket requires a little filing of a "tab" in order to get the over-travel set exactly to zero. Took me about an hour the first time and about 20 minutes the second time I did it. You have to file, put it in and try the trigger. You do that over and over until the trigger pulls and works. It's very easy. There are a multitude of videos on Youtube showing you how. EZPZ
