Brand new G27 Gen 4, first time on the range noticed a heavier trigger than the Gen 3 and i had several failure to feed. I read online that it is normal on glocks if you limp wrist, so at the time I blame it on myself because I wasn’t really paying attention on how hard I was holding the gun. Im not a new shooter, am a LEO and I have been shooting for many years, I have also shot a G27 gen 3 several times before and never had any problems.... before my second visit to the range I performed the recommended .25 trigger job trying to match the gen 3 trigger pull and had no luck at all at the range. Several FTFs holding it tight and I even let my partner shoot it and the same thing happened. Im shooting Federal hollow point amo. Dont know if this is something related to gen 4 or just a defective gun. Is there any specific part that causes this problem? Is my warranty void for the .25 trigger job? Thanks guys

Looks to me like you may have a magazine issue going on. Did you try the other magazines that it came with? If so did it do it with them? Or did you even notice. Most, let me repeat most FTFs are caused by magazine issues and from your pictures that is what I would guess yours to be. However, it is not always the case as your RSA can also be at fault. But looking at yours I am venturing to say magazine.
Yes. Looks likes a mag problem. Ive shot at least 300+ rounds through mine and not a single ftf.
Is happening randomly with 3, 9 rounds mags and a 24 rounder. All 4 mags are brand new
Hmmm. So probably not the mags. If you say its happening randomly, have you tried anything besides the federal? Or how many boxes of the federal hp have you gone through? Im stumped.
Try ball ammo (target) in the same bullet weight and see if you still have FTFs; if you have no FTFs then try some HP from another brand and one notch heavier from what you used. I had some FTFs with my gen4 G19 and once the RSA broke-in all was well. The malfs happended within the first 150 rounds only.

It's mags or RSA. Since it did it with all of your mags, it's RSA. Call GLOCK, they'll send you a new one. Don't mention the .25 cent trigger job. Let us know.

No, only Federal 155 grain jacketed hollow point ammo. I have gone through at least 10 boxes.
sfguard im right handed
telemoto i will try to keep using the federal ammo because thats what i get issue by my agency.
ok I will call them today, i will let you guys know. Thanks to all for the help.
If the RSA doesn't help I am wondering if you are hitting the slide stop lever during recoil due to the grip being small. Possibly with your thumb. You probably wouldn't even notice it until you were watching for it to happen. That is why I asked right or left handed. But it happens to people a lot and is just something a simple and slight grip adjustment on the part of the shooter can fix.
