I have a G22 and I am looking for magazine baseplates that have the half round to fill in the the hole on the grip. Any help on what this type of baseplate is called and where I can get some would be greatly appreciated.
Never heard of them. Question though. Why not just buy a plug?
I am talking about the one in front of the grip.
Pearce Grip Enhancer Magazine Base Pad Glock Compact, Full Size - MidwayUSA
That's the one for full metal lined 9/40/357/45GAP magazines. A few of the full size frames were made without that cut-out, so if you have one of those frames remember that a magazine with this floorplate won't fit into it until you change the floorplate.

First I've seen one of them...

Me too. Do they really give you that much of a edge? I mean, they cover the hole in front, which I hadn't paid any attention to until this thread. What does that do for the shooter that warrants $10 for the base pad? Outside of personal preference etc. etc. what is it supposed to do?
I have big hands and the way my little finger sits when I fire the G22 is not pleasent, one of the mags that I have that fills the hole is just alot more comfortable to shoot and worth the money to me. Its just a personal thing. By the way thanks for the link voyager4520.

Ok, well, I figured there had to be something to it just didn't know what. Enjoy glad someone could help you out
good thread. i've always wondered if there was such thing but i've never been curious enough to ask about it. i couldn't see any advantages with this. also, i would assume that this is only for target shooting as i woudn't trust it being in my gun when the time arises where i need to change mags in a snap.
