So I cleaned my primary IDPA 17 on Sunday and lo and behold I noticed copper colored marks on the locking block where the outer finish is showing wear. This gun has well over 5k rounds fired and still runs like a raped ape (to quote Larry Vickers).
It seems to be, if you use dirtier ammo if will for sure get dirtier faster, but if still concerned please run this thru the tech section as well. I hope this helps.
I think Vol was just mentioning that he also had seen some of the nickle plating wear with the copper showing through... Not really asking any kind of question...
