For many, getting the certification is just added knowledge about how a Glock works. But the cert itself tecnicallt ends with aftermarket parts (excluding sights).

I've been through it three times. The last was just before I retired in 2007. If any of you guys have any extra manuals newer that 2007 laying around you want to get rid of or sell, send me a PM.

The channel liner is not a part that needs to be replaced. I have an old 2 pin G17 that has over 200K on it with the original channel liner. You just need to clean the firing pin bore and spot face with a wooden Q tip and leave it dry.

Go to glockstore.com and search for "GLOCK FIRING PIN CHANNEL LINER". On the product page, there is a good video on removing/installing liner and what tools are used. http://www.glockstore.com/Glock-Firi...-Channel-Liner

Awww ... not a fan??? LOL Not that videos can't be helpful, I think that the information could have been shared in much less time. I think that in the past someone here on the forum suggested using a lag bolt for removal.

Yeah, lag bolt (dont remember size) was recommended for removal. A Glock armorer said it was common to hear from individuals who decided to try a .22 brass brush to clean the channel that, to their surprise, it removed liners pretty well

5/16 lag is what the last Glock instructor told us.
