    The SKIMMER, OK for CCW?

So I'm really interested in "The SKIMMER" but wanted to know if it's recommended for concealed carry and if anyone here has used it yet?

Also, any idea on the eta for gen 4? (26)

should be fine for carry. personally not a big fan of it. there is no pre travel per say. its hard to explain, not as solid of a feel as a stock trigger. Some people may like it, IMO not worth nearly the 150 price tag.

Well, we all have differing opinions on gear, on value, etc.

Based on my experience with the Guardian and the Vogel Challenger kits from GlockTriggers.com custom competition drop-in triggers for Glocks I do consider them worth the money. Folks spend a lot more on things that do a lot less for their actual shooting. I see something this kit as being far more valuable than a lot of support gear people blow money on.

Just curious if you could expand on this? I'm trying to figure out how it doesn't feel as solid as the stock trigger. Does the trigger or trigger assembly flex? Is there side to side play on the trigger?

I'll try the best I can. With the stock trigger you have pre travel until the engagement. pretty much as soon as you press past the engagement your breaking the round.

With the skimmer there is no pre travel, it feels like it starts at the engagement. but past that it doesnt break right away. it feels mushy until the shot breaks.

Dont get me wrong, the pre travel reduction is nice, its after that doesnt feel right to me. Like you dont know when the shot is going to break. Its a different feel, and im sure some people will like it. And like I said, 160 is steep for what it does.

Thanks for the info. I have seen this and felt that $160 was too pricey for my tastes. I will stick with the $0.25 trigger job.

i would attempt to find someone with it and try it. its not right for me. you may find it perfect for you. in that case 160 might be worth it.... for me its not. YMMV

Thanks for the advice guys. I was thinking of grabbing the ghost ultimate with a polish job. I had that in my ruger sr9c which I loved. This is my first glock so I'm just trying to weigh my options since glocks have sooooooo many available.

Just to be clear though the SKIMMER is more than a polish job and a (-) connector. Those things are fine but they aren't the same as this kit.
