Changes to flying with your weapon

I'm torn. I always have a fear my guns will be stolen when travelling and that someone could just snatch my bag off the carousel by mistake and make off with my guns. So picking it up might alleviate those fears. The problem is that in order to do that, it appears they will now mark my bag on the outside indicating a gun is inside. This increases the risk a baggage handler will break in and steal the gun (even though I cable lock my gun cases to the inside of the suitcase). This new policy seems to fly in the face of the old theory that they only put a firearms tag INSIDE the suitcase after inspection and had nothing on the outside to indicate a gun is inside so as to not tip anyone off.

All this, no doubt, as a result of the shooting in the Florida airport.
