    New 10 Shot Ruger GP-100 .22 L.R.

I finally ordered a new Ruger GP-100, 10 shot .22 this past week. None of my local dealers had any in stock, and didn't know when they would be getting any. So I've had my eye on Davidson's, and too were showing "Out Of Stock". Then last week I noticed they were showing 8 in stock, so I immediately ordered one. It came in this past Wednesday. Sorry for the crappy camera pic, but this revolver is a beauty! It weighs a full 42 ounces, and is finished beautifully in lightly brushed Stainless steel. As with most new Ruger's, the gun was filthy when I removed it from the plastic bag it ships in. I've always said the dirtiest gun I ever owned, was a new Ruger! For some reason they test fire them, box them up and ship them out.

After a good cleaning the gun was flawless. The action is very smooth, and the fiber optic front sight very distinguishable. I won't be able to get to the range with it until next week some time, but I will be looking forward to wringing it out for sure. There is a company right here in Phoenix that makes a nice speed loader set up for it. So I'm going to give them a call and hopefully pick up one. With a 10 shot double action they're nice to have. It allows you to load and shoot faster than with an auto. I'll try to give a range report after I light it up. This is the speedloader set up.

Nice! Did it also come with a 22 mag cylinder as well?

No. No Magnum cylinder. This gun is strictly .22 short, long, or long rifle.

I wonder how many lifetimes that revolver will last? That pistola might be shot well past 2100 provided there is ammo available and phasers are not yet mainstream.

It's definitely stoutly built, that's for sure. I'm guessing with a little bit of care, several lifetimes.

Nice looking pistol. That is one thing I don not have yet is a 22 pistol.
