    9/11 and all it means

A few moments of thoughts or prayers for those lost on 9/11 both 15 years ago and also in Benghazi. They are not forgotten.

It certainly doesn't feel like it was 15 years ago.

You have no idea what it was like to have been there. I lost no personal friends but my brother was in the building 1/2 hour before. My best friend (who works on Wall Street) was in the lobby waiting for the debris (and when I say debris, you can imagine what that was), to stop so he could get out. He ran up the West Side Hwy. and caught the last remaining ferry off Manhattan Island. When you see pictures of people running with white ash on their faces - he was one of them. Now, my brother-in-law who works for Conde Nast (Times Square) was transferred to their new location One World Trade Center. He told me he is buying a business parachute. YES, they do make them!

According to my friend, no one has actually saw the complete, real, unedited, footage of the 'debris' falling from the sky. I refrained at first from telling this story because I am not a conspiracy theorist. But what is on film VERY few people have seen. But those who think the CIA did it, well, CIA family members died in that crash too. In fact, every branch of government had family die that day.

And now, refugees? I saw on TV, if you had a bag of Skittles and only three could kill you, would you eat a handful? Terrorism is not about killing large amounts of people. It's about fear and in that sense we are losing. And the scary thing is we have no one we can count on to stop it.

    OH.... where has Ronnie Ray-gone????

The only part I got out of that was the skittles analogy, and that sounds remarkably similar to what the feminists say about men.

Sorry for the confusion, a few people were. I lived in NY for 40 years including that fateful day. I tried to use terms like 'debris' to describe (in a less graphic way) parts of people falling from the sky. I had a friend in the lobby waiting to get out and he was blocked by 'debris' falling from the sky. He finally saw a chance and ran. He is one of those you saw covered in soot running up the West Side Hwy. He managed to catch the last ferry to New Jersey after they had closed the island.

Also (and I may get some slack for this), I am not a conspiracy theorist. I may believe that we were working with the Bin Ladens in a financial way but to think that any branch of our government would actually be responsible ... well... this is where I lose some people. The point I was trying to make is that the people (or branches of government) that these 'conspiracy theorists' blame had family there too. I am friend with an ex-CIA agent and he lost many colleagues. To think that the government is not corrupt is more than being naive, I admit. But they failed in 1993 to take the towers down - maybe the technology to plant explosives was not good enough back then - I just don't believe it was us, or maybe I just don't want to believe. But it would sure be easier to take the towers down by way of fully fueled planes turned into guided missiles than to try to plant explosives in all the structures needed. The building was not designed to withstand the impact of these planes and the fireproofing material that was on the beams was blown right off after impact.

I saw a show on TV (not a good source for info, I admit) - but this ex-government official said we are just not that smart to organize such an intricate plan of placing explosives where they had to go. And he also said all branches of this government are made up of regular people. People that usually cannot keep such secrets. Remember the Apollo 11 mission that they said never happened? Well Buzz Aldrin was expected to give a death bed confession. This was not out of his mouth but out of the conspiracy theorists. And it never happened. No one ever admitted to alien autopsies at Area 51. No on other than Oswald was ever found to be the shooter on that day in Dallas.

I guess what I am trying to say (especially to the conspiracy theorists) is that we are incapable (as a large group of people) of keeping such secrets. To me the easiest explanations are usually the o0nes that are right.

This is only my opinion and I respect anyone who has anything different they believe. Watch the movie 'Harodim'. If you are a conspiracy theorist you will come away with more doubt. If you are not a conspiracy theorist it will make you think. But the trade center was built like a box of stick matches and could have easily collapsed under the right circumstances. The center (where the stairs were) was the strongest part and the only survivors (I believe) were in that staircase.

I am sorry I brought this up but I knew people (not personally) that were in that building. My brother was there one half hour before. My Uncle had retired 2 years before that incident or he would not be alive. And like I said, one of my best friends just made it out.

Was there 'sub-conspiracies' going on? Like the Bin Ladens allowed to leave US air space when everything else was locked down. Sure, that may have happened. I certainly do not trust anything the government has to say but I just try to take an educated look at the situation.

One last thing. My father witnessed the day a military plane smashed into the Empire State Building. That structure built out of solid brick and shook that plane off like a fly. Look at the design of the trade centers and you will find a stick house, similar to the ones the three little piggy’s first tried to go to!

Again, I hope this clears up my OPINION. And again, I still respect the opinions of others. This is ONLY my one cent. I hope I have not offended anyone and in no way am I condemning other religious beliefs. These are 1%'s, we must remember that.

And yes, my brother-in-law works for Conde Nast which relocated from Times Square to WTC 1. And he bought himself a 'business designed' parachute. That maybe a bit overboard and another way companies make profit off of tragedies like this.

I hope I cleared at least some of my previous post. And my wife who worked at Con Edison (New York City's utility company) were allowed in along with the first responders and many took pictures. I have seen them all but even those were edited carefully as to not show the actual carnage that took place. I personally would not want to see it. Heck, the first episode of The Walking dead last week was too much for me!

But thank you for you inquiry and again, sorry for the confusion. It is very hard to write about. DG
