    AR15 build

I figure lots of you folks have experience building ARs.
I am looking for a good manual in order to build my first. I already have my lower and a LPK. I guess I am jumping the gun a bit. Sorry, couldn't resist.
I have looked on the web, and of course there are tons out there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Midway, Brownell's, Natchez Shhoters Supply and other such sites have plenty to choose from. I'm on the road but will be home tomorrow and post the title and author of the one I used to help a friend build his.
I just ordered an AR receiver from Palmeto State in 9mm. It will be my winter project.

So this. Easy to and follow simply watch and learn. You don't like that view, go watch a different video. There are hundreds of them on this topic. Watch a few before you do it as some guys found a better way to skin a cat.

I would use the manual or vid that comes with your templates when it comes to using the drill press.

Well this site from Midway is a good site: How To Build An AR-15 Rifle - MidwayUSA .
Once you build one or two you will find, or at least I did after the first one, that it is very easy to assemble an AR. As long as you have the resources. I have just as many AR's in my safe as I do Glocks and I am looking to build another one from parts that I already have and then custom an AR10. The issue is now that I am sure that people are panic buying right now (Hitlery) and lowers, uppers, and certain parts are getting a little hard to come by. Try this website for parts: ARPartsFinder.com - Find AR15 Charging Handles. Find them in stock and compare prices. Page 7 .

You can also try: Buy Ammunition Online | Pistol Ammunition | Rifle Ammunition - Surplus Ammo and Shop | Aero Precision .

Good luck have fun and enjoy. Building AK's is also fun you just need a few receivers.

    Ditto on the Midway videos.

They little extras like securing detent springs with a threaded allen screw to make tear down easier. There is a kit from them with the drill and tap. Something I want to do to my M&P 15 as well as the 9 lower I ordered.
I should be home by this evening and I'll post the manual I used.

The Competitive AR15 Builders Guide. by Glen D. Zediker
It cover tool needed, fixtures and how to pick components that work with each other. As well as showing a Service rifle build, a Carbine build and a Match grade build. Pictures could be more professionally shot but are clear enough to show all the detail needed.
Good luck and enjoy. It's a good feeling firening a weapon you built yourself.

Thanks for all the info. I'll check out videos, but I was hoping for a publication from some known source that is tried and true. I like to sit and read material, if you know what I mean. I don't like to figure things out from a video. Pictures and diagrams for me.
Thanks again to all who responded.
