No, we are not looking the other way. There is more to this than ranting and raving. The US has the capability to attack, BUT, so do others. Our DEFENSE is WEAK from these attacks.

Yes, we can escalate. But so can the others. Then ask yourself; who stands to loose the MOST????? ANSWER: WE DO.

Be quiet for a moment while we rebuild our stick so to speak. And, Sen McCain, as far as I'm concerned, can go home permanently. He needs to GO. Drain the swamp, and he IS part of the swamp.

Drain the swamp!? that remains to be seen since the president elect is doing the same thing as the last president did and the president before him and so on and so on! therefore don't tell me that he is draining the swamp in Washington he is becoming an learned politician quick which can be a good thing or not, only time will tell. In my opinion we- meaning our government for the last few decades have shown the world how divided we are because of the way we worked together or lack there of mainly that we acted like spoil brats for example when the dems are in the white house then the republicans are sore losers vice versa when the republicans are in the white house its the same story. I know that the United States is unique and very powerful as a nation and I am all for a fist in a velvet glove however tim414 don't count your chickens before they hatch everybody can talk a good game but too me actions speak louder!

what action would speak out loudly? Escalating? It has been widely known for years the Chineese have been hacking us. Yet, under Obama NOTHING was done.

The United States has the greatest capability of ALL Nations to to make electronic internet warfare. But, here is the problem, we focused on attack capabilities without giving thought to defense of it. Now, other countries have capabilities to attack us, but we failed to think of defense. Now, it's all about defense, so we can go on the attack IF NEEDED.

Our country operates now, like it or not, via computers connected to the very internet system we created. We stand to be damaged, badly, if this gets out of hand.

It very much like nuclear weapons. Have them ready, but, the best play IS NOT TO PLAY THE GAME. This is rationale for the electronic warfare until we build up defenses to it so we cannot harmed as badly as we are open to now.

True tim414 while we have been throwing accusations at each other and with all of this political grandstanding for the last couple of decades other nations have been increasing their investment in cyber warfare and we have not but it wasn't just Obama, I fault everyone because not one of those so called senators or congressmen lifted a finger to work together and beef up our investment in any research concerning cyber warfare for the 21 century, what was our esteemed congress fighting over take a guess ? if you guessed Obama care then you are correct like I said before there is a lot of blame to go around and no one is innocent on the hill. Remember this "sometimes when you play the blame game sometimes the blame falls on you" this doesn't sound logical but its often true. The true warfare will be fought in cyberspace so this new president should be more worried about us take our cyber tech to the next level and not Vladimir Putin because I am damn sure Putin is worried about his country and not Mr. Trump!

Tell me spaceman, what do you feel are proper actions Trump should be doing being he hasn't even taken office at this time?

Maybe you should give him the benefit of doubt and let him assume the position of president before saying he's no different that all that came before him.

Remember the best plans go out the window once you make contact with the enemy.

For one thing he can stop tweeting every time he feels that someone has slighted him he is the president elect now so act like it and grow up and get a tougher skin like Obama because this is nothing compared to after his first 100 days in office and if he is feeling the sting of public critique and angrily reacting even before he takes office this makes me nervous, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he is going to be more presidential and worthy to hold the office of president of the United States. but being independent I can look at both parties without animosity or holy allegiance to either. Ohgaz why should I not be leery of the president elect, he has never held any public office of any kind nor has he been appointed to any position in any administration that I know of, and please don't tell me that being a business man automatically make a great president I have been around too long and been voting since the Regan administration.

the tweeting is one way that he communicates with his constituents. The news media sure as hell do not play straight with him. I trust the man because he HAS NOT HELD office and is not a politician (or didn't use to be anyway).

That was what appealed to me. Politicians anymore, are greedy bastards, power, money hungry. Look how many go into office with nothing, then come out millionaires.

It sure as hell was not because they did so well for our country. The tweets, I think anyway will slow down. But, I kinda like them. He's talking to us that put him there, and not having to rely on the crooked media, controlled by the left.

I hope he blocks that merger. The media have gotten way to big thinking they can tell us what they want us to believe and influence elections. Hell with the Russians,

Buy the media, and it's in the bag (election.)They need to be knocked down a peg or tow or three.

It showed me the left definitely has control of major media outlet and I DO NOT TRUST THEM ANY LONGER. I hope Trump bust their azzes up too.

We came way too close to loosing everything.

Be careful with playing the blame game because the blame will come back on you or in this case Donald Trump , when the media was beating Clinton like a rug with one accusation after another blaming her for even her loss the far right was only too happy with their support and praise of the media and intelligence agencies investigation of her emails and because SHE failed to fully come clean she was smashed by her opponent and the media and she deserved what she got! By the same token Mr. Trump because he also failed to disclose his tax statements and any possible involvement with Vladimir Putin have only himself to blame for committee and media investigationsites and no doubt the left is now praising and supporting the media ( what goes around comes around) and his constant tweeting really is hurting him !
