Hi just wanted to share that a new book came out the other day about Glock and its history in Austria to the American culture. So far its a been a good read and it has been informative.
Check it out its called : Glock The Rise of the American Gun
Awesome, thanks for the FYI! Should be a great read.
I listened to the author --Paul Barrett -- when he guest appeared on the ProArms podcast. He works for Business Week and spent time learning to shoot while learning about the business side of Glocks.
Thanks for sharing.

GLOCKS Owned - G17, G17OD, G17L, G19, G19c, G26, G34, G38, G23, G27
I just finished reading this book.
It is indeed an interesting read, with a lot of information I didn't know before. The section about the attempted murder for hire against Gaston Glock read like a made-for-TV movie thriller.
However, I think Paul Barrett was the wrong man to write this book. I believe he intended it as a hatchet job against Glock and the "American gun industry" from the very beginning. The final chapter is nothing more than a gun grabber's angst because the facts and statistics don't fit his view of who should own guns. He is strongly in favor of limiting the capacities of handguns, and he is quite vocal about the so-called "private sale loophole".
I hope no one else makes the mistake I did by rewarding this guy for his political agenda.
As I said, the book is interesting, but if you want to read it, send me a PM and I will give you my copy for the price of shipping.

Thanks for the update. It's so sad that the liberals want to try to skew things with every breath they take. I have been dealing with a female state house representative who wants nothing more than all the guns taken away.
The term "Undocumented Alien" is like calling a drug pusher an "Un-Licensed Pharmacist"
Thats something that they will never understand... Those that declare war on inannimate objects, is that if every gun disappeared from the face of the earth tomorrow morning.... The killing
Would continue with barely a drop in numbers. Only the method would change. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Well...I don't think the author had a political agenda. I think the argument of lowering the capacity of ammo in a Glock has been a argument for many years. I found the book to be very informative and yes it was a bit dramatic. However its the author needed to add a little drama to keep the the audience's attention.
By the way I have middle of road political views. Which as a gun owner of many different kinds of firearms I feel out of place at gun shows and NRA sponsored events. Fear is a great marketing tool. Here is an idea. If we want the government to get off our backs about owning firearms. We should look at the crazy gun owners who protest at political events totting there guns around like cowboys. Thats not being responsible thats just pouring fuel into the fire and making people who are responsible look like crazy people.
If that doesn't make sense to you...think about this..what do we all think of muslims in this country? A group of crazy people kill a bunch of innocent people. They happened to be muslim. All of a sudden we group all muslims as terrorists. Don't you think the vast majority of muslims are going wtf? Same think in the gun community. Every time I hear some dumbass on tv say we need to get our guns and fight our tyrannical government. I have to cringe. It makes responsible gun owners look like a bunch of crazy people and I hate it.
