I was checking out some Youtube videos last night about the Glock, holsters, safes, etc and came across this 3-part show. It's very biased and put on by the television media, which I think says a lot right there. But I watched as it was interesting to see their test groups. At the end, the person who explains everything says how the good guy, who had problems drawing the weapon in many cases, had problems hitting the mark on the bad guy and was shot multiple times. I walked away thinking wow, that's scary, this person is probably dead and may not have stopped anything.

Then I got to analyzing this even more. IN the scenario, there are 2 shooters. The guy who walks in and another person sitting in the class room who is going to shoot too. To me, even if they didn't tell anyone who the good guy was, it sure seems the bad guy knows exactly where to shoot after he shoots the professor. It sure looked like they were told in advance and that they always aimed for the person in the front, center chair. Then I started writing this off more of a publicity stunt "control test" than anything else and wondered if even a policeman would have had the same challenges here in some regards.

I'm not sure I'd jump up, try and pull my weapon like that and stand completely exposed while trying to take down the bad guy. My head says duck and cover and look for options to end this, save yourself, etc. However, in a stress environment, you never know what will happen. I don't put much weight in this and thought I'd share it with all of you.

Now here's my thought... what if you take the firearm instructor out of the equation and replace him with someone off the street who doesn't know there is someone in there with a gun. To me the firearm instructor walked in shot the instructor and knew there was someone armed... my thought though

Its like your kid asking you a bunch of hypothetical "What if....." questions. If they were objective journalist, they would have looked for people who have been in life threatning situations in which the gun saved their life. But the story was wrapped around a preconcieved conclusion. They told a story to fit their view, facts be da..d (what a beaver builds).
