I am 57 years old. I have no spawn from my groin. It may not seem significant that you have this memory to some, but it is significant to me.

Thank you Slice, I lost my dad when he was 53. I try and enjoy my son every minute I can!! Nathan and I are very close. I have always tried to do things with my son that I wish my dad had done with me.

Sounds like a fun time... A day to remember for sure...

Thanks for sharing it with us!

That is awesome. Years from now, that time will mean so much to him. I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to shoot and enjoy things like that.

I shot a steel challenge match yesterday. My 4 yr old daughter asked me when she could have a gun so she could compete with me. It touched my heart.

I always send little videos or pics of me shooting during matches. Mage cheers me on. It's the cutest thing. She'll tell my wife what to text.

Good for you taking the time with your son. thank you for sharing.

I still cherish the time I spent reloading shotgun shells with my dad when I was a kid. We reloaded throughout the week then both went to shoot skeet every tuesday night.

My kids started reloading and shooting when they were 10 years old. My rule was whatever they loaded, they got to shoot.

I just joined this forum after reading this thread - great stuff! My son is home from his freshman year of college for the holiday. I have found a way for him to work and make a few extra bucks when he is here. I pay him 10 cents/round for ammo that he makes. My reloading equipment is failsafe with alarms on everything, and it has worked out to be a great deal for both of us. I have enough 9/40/45 to go to the range every week for years! And I probably would have given him the money for college anyway, but don't tell him! He has spent numerous all-nighters in my reloading room to make a few hundred bucks. I highly recommend!!! In fact, I need to get off this computer and take him shooting today. I only have a few more days with him!!
