Portal/Can't Post
Been gone for a week. Can't get to Portal and can't post!
If you really want to fly, get out of the plane.

Seems to be a bug with the Portal... I think the vBulletin software was updated...

So.... Why does the "Portal" no longer function? One used to be able to view all posts chronologically in the "Portal".... Now, the "Portal" button does nothing or takes one to the "Forums".... Is this temporary or permanent? For me, it detracts from my enjoyment of this forum, I don't want to "have" to visit each "forum" to keep up...
Am I doing something wrong? Has there been a change for a reason?[]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

I'm not sure about the forum but have you tried the New Post feature? Click on Forum, and then click on New Post, top left of screen under Forum and it will display all post since you last reviewed the site. This is the method I always use and it allows me to check each posting, or, if I am not interested, after reviewing the threads that have been posted in, I can mark all forums read and then simply use the New Post feature the next time I return.
As far as the Portal goes, I know they are making changes to the software that runs the forums. I had issues with quick posts and being able to go back to the list using the browsers Back function after posting but they resolved that problem yesterday. Hopefully we can get them to look at the feature your having issues with.In honor of AW2 Jason Lawson (The Law). We'll never forget you.

Since I'm "subscribed" to this thread, I received an e-mail with your response (thanks), and I went to the "new post" feature, read your response, moved on and thought about it and when I tried to find your response again (the same way) it was gone (for me), moved to the site etc forum and i had to remember the forum to look in to respond after moving on....
It's not impossible, but when the "portal" feature worked, everything was there until enough new posts moved it "off the page"... Perhaps I'm just getting old...[]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]
