I agree with vol. Its just there, i could take it or leave it.
In the early days of Glock.pro... before it was called Glock.pro, actually... Rob and I tried to get the reputation system going... the little green bars... for some reason, the points levels could never be adjusted correctly and it takes too many points to get another green block...
The reputation system with the little green bars does work... I've used it on other vBulletin forums... The advantage is that forum members on the site give "reputation points" to individuals that are helpful or go out of their way to provide correct answers. If you click on the star at the bottom of a post, you can add to someone's reputation.
As far as the blue, orange, and green bars... They are somewhat elusive... I have no idea how the points in the blue and orange bars are acquired... and I don't know what the levels are...
The green bar is for overall activity... If you hold your cursor over one of the bars, a tooltip will pop up and tell you what that bars represents... It gives you a percentage of the most posts that any user has on the site... 100% being the most of course...
I won't say who is the biggest poster around here... 100% Activity... But I'll give you a clue... He's not a LEO, but he thinks he's the law around here...![]()

"While the anti-gunners seem very concerned about the "one life" that your firearm might take -- they are not very concerned about the lives it will save." Jon H. Gutmacher, Florida Firearms - Law, Use & Ownership.
The bars seem more like window dressing than anything else, but if it works for some that's great.
The "sheriff's star" jb's referring to is definitely great for this forum. I'd encourage people to use it so that the helpful posts get recognized more.
One of the things I like about glock.pro is that there are a good number of helpful posters here, and relatively fewer trolls. That'll probably change over time but hopefully as a community we can keep things civil here. We'll let the fur fly elsewhere...
