Click on "Experience" on the Menu Bar at the top of this page... It's basically a system for determining users participation in parts of the forum...

as you can see... _jb is ballin' in experience. haha

I've been around for a while and still have no idea what all that experience, rep power, etc. means. I think it's junk personally. Who cares?

None of that means the person is smarter, better looking, knows more about guns, is a better shooter, etc. than the next poster. It generally means he posts more and people like him. That's about it.

... and no my comments were't about JB. Everyone knows he's good looking. lol. My comments were just general comments about a system that tracks post count, experience, etc. I always felt like when the site was set up the person pushing the buttons just wanted to use all the options, regardless of whether they meant anything to anyone.

Don't hold back Vol, you can tell us what you really think. I agree though, they certainly don't mean much to the normal folk.

The green bars were a program that was tried and stopped by Rob a long time ago. That's why no one else has moved up with additional green bars or anything like that. The other lines are simply showing how much you participate, and how often. It does not quantify quality of post. You can leave positive feedback for a person's post if it helped you out. In the end none of it means much to the average member but it may mean something to the Site Admins.
