I C&P'd an article that had advertising hot link embedded into the article. I tried all avenues available to dis-able the links, to no avail.

I see that the "break link" tool is disabled, which works well for this type of editing, can we get it turned on ?

In the meantime, why is it when I disable these the links still appear in the article ?

• Automatically parse links in text
• Automatically retrieve titles from external links

No biggie to me, but it can save bandwidth and spamming of the site if we had better control of the links that are posted intentionally or unintentionally and then Moderated to a more friendly environment.

Agreed most posters will not be aware of these issues, but, that is what a Moderating team is for !
