    At lectures I give (8 to ten times /yr in groups of 30 to 75), I generically denounce the use of facebook or myspace. You are not their customer, you are the merchandise! Both are also leading sources of infections and predator havens.

    i don't use facebook. i used to have an account that i only made to enter a contest for vz 1911 grips. once that was over, i closed the account. i have no need to add "friends" i've never met to a list lol

    I didn't use it for the longest time. I didn't do the other big social website either, whatever it's called. I was on a business trip a few years ago with my boss and I noticed he was checking his Facebook Account. I gave him crap for it and he told me about how many friends from high school that he had reconnected with. Remember we've been out of school for 20 years. So I signed up, limiting what info and such that I put on there and sure enough found tons and tons of old friends that I hadn't talked to in forever.

    After the cool factor rubbed off from finding all my old school friends, the fun went away. I rarely ever go there now and could care less.

    I have a Facebook account but don't like the "permission" I have to give away to become a fan.. Facebook is screwing around with all these privacy issues.. To become a fan I have to "accept" that your Facebook page can access all my info about me, my friends list, etc... NO WAY
    This is how facebook is circumventing your own privacy settings..
    May be your Facebook site should change into a "group"

    facebook is just a current trend that will soon die down. like myspace. nobody talks about that one anymore, but for a while it was the social site to be on lol
