Would that be LAX Ammo ?

Odd that one of the states with the most restrictive handgun/longgun ownership policies, would be benefiting from the sale of ammo that fits most of the weapons they banned !

Lone Watie: I notice when you get to DISlikin' someone they ain't around for long neither.

Ya mean, real effectiveness as in how somebody faired that was shot with it? Not much of that from any EDC ammunition. BUT tests(yes, I know) show it to be VERY effective, limited over penetration cuz it doesn't get clogged up like some JHP. NO minimum velocity for expansion, like a lot of JHP, particularly out of shorter barrels.

As for SD situation and the DA..that's more of urban legend type stuff or old armorer's tales' than what actually happens....If that was an issue, JHP would be illegal...

I like the advice of carry what your local cops carry. Did you hear about the guy in NM, or AZ that had a SD shooting with a 10MM? The prosecutor had a field day with it. Not to many LEO agencies carry 10. https://defensivehandgun.blogspot.co...fense-and.html

"Even though Fish didn't know any of the above when the shooting took place, it appears that Kuenzli probably conveyed an earnest (and unnerving) intent to kill Fish. Problem is that none of it was admitted at trial.

The prosecution also made hay about Fish carrying a 10mm handgun loaded with hollowpoint ammunition. In an urban area, that may not be your preferred carry gun. But on a hiking trail that is probably the caliber of choice. It's enough bullet to drop most any four-legged predators you may encounter, and the hollowpoint round is a good choice both for stopping power and to prevent overpenetration. As Massad Ayoob has said at length, overpenetration and hitting an innocent on the other side can bring a lot of liability. Let's be honest, 10mm FMJ is a hot round that makes Rule Four (be sure of your target and what lies beyond it) a serious consideration. There's a good faith argument that not using hollowpoints in a 10mm is reckless. But be prepared to make that argument in court.

All of this goes to show that even when you use force in what you believe to be justified self-defense, the justice system may see things differently."

And JHP is illegal in NJ for carry when you have a permit. There may be one or 2 other states like that.

Bloviate your opinion all you want. The facts say otherwise.

They now make Xtreme Penetrator (what’s being tested in the video posted) and Xtreme Defender. Defender specifically created to address over penetration in 9mm and above. Youtube has comparison videos.

I carry Xtreme Penetrator in the 42. It doesn’t over penetrate in .380 like it does in 9mm and performs closest to the 9mm SD rounds of the .380 options on the market.

For 9mm, I’m happy with HST and personally, don’t see a reason to use anything else.

For target, anything that WallyWorld has for sale..$7.87 per 50 of Federal aluminum or brass..9mm...Federal 'Forged', steel case, even cheaper..

And for infidel above..are we talking 10mm or JHP or...what? You could smack the guy with a louisville slugger and some 'well meaning' prosecutor could bring up your batting title 20 years ago when in HS..

Bloviate..the 'facts, righto..BTW, I know 2 LEO local to me and they carry..horrors...40s...JHP..

You are babbling incoherently. WTF are you talking about with .40? Hittin' the sauce early today? You're not making any sense.
