which is better bore snake or swab it?

With so many cleaning tools on the market it can be somewhat bewildering so I was wondering if any of you have tried Swab- it and if so what are your opinions, is it better when cleaning out the out the barrel or is the old tried and true bore snake ?

Not sure what Swab-It is... and have never used a bore snake...

Mostly use a jag and patches... occasionally a nylon bristle brush... and, very seldom, a brass no-harm brush...

Haven't used the Swab-its but I carry the snakes to the range for a quick bore cleaning while shooting.
Back at the bench cleaning is the rod, brush and patch just like always.

I use Ram Rodz (similar to Swap Its) for my handguns, bore snake-like product for my long guns.

It depends on the ammo I'm shooting. If I'm shooting lead bullets I use a brass or stainless steel bore brush. The easiest way I've found is to use an old cleaning rod in a cordless drill. BIG time saver.

Less dirty ammo I may use a jag or just a brush and patches or the ultrasonic cleaner.

On pistol barrels I use a soft pure cotton patch that I'll wrap around a Hoppe's nylon or soft brass brush. The most common CLP I use on the INSIDE of a pistol is Safariland's Break Free CLP. The most common protectant I use on the OUTSIDE of a pistol is either FrogLube CLP PASTE (which is an incredibly lousy cleaner, but a vastly superior metal protectant), or just plain good old fashioned Carnauba car wax.
