Hi Temp axle grease in a plastic syringe my guess since he shows same colored grease for his AR15. Helpful video though, thanks.
This thread shows the basics of lubrication a Glock pistol. It replaces another thread started by Vol where the original pictures were lost... This video shows a method similar to what I have used for years and works well... Nothing too fancy, but it works:

JB, just set up the G23 with high temp axle grease, will post feedback after next desert shooting trip. Already notice the slide feels smoother and is quieter during racking. Thanks bro.

This is just a general Glock lubrication video... It points out the important spots that need to be lubricated...
Glocks can be lubricated with almost anything, however, Glock recommends products designed to lubricate guns... I've switched from TW-25b to Rand CLP... I like to put a drop on the slide rails and have it roll down the length of the slide... Something grease won't do... Plus it cleans easily because it's a CLP type lubricant...
Good luck in the desert...![]()

IMHO...
The video is a little pointless...especially "ooops...that's way too much..." If you're gonna do a "how-to" video...show what you think the right way.
Also...the video disagrees with the Glock manual recommendations (Figure 14, page 16 in the Glock Armorer's Manual).
Finally, it disagrees with Hickok45...blasphemy!
" Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol! "
tried CLP, does not seem to clean that well but will admit, it is slippery and makes a mess of the firearm.
Just thinking here, the copper lube used at the factory by Glock could very well be the same Lubriplate High Temp stuff I use on my brakes on the Jeep. Lubriplate has a long track record of positives and used in areas effected by salt water and air. It is copper in color similar to the lube found on new Blocks.
Hickok loves CLP, knowledgeable but are just his opinions as the rest of info posted to the web. Something works for a person, use it. I am not a sheep, I do not follow the crowds.

Give it a good cleaning and move on... It's a Glock. Using a lube/cleaner is enough. I've never had an issue with any of my glocks. Heavy or constant lube is not needed. 3 drops of hoppes 9 is all you need... If that! It just depends on how well you clean it.

"blasphemy" nah, just another method of achieving the same final result. Functions when needed and is protected from the elements.

I generally use Hoppes gun oil but now thinking the grease works better for my firearms. Much smoother and more quieter slide action. Can always reclean if I have an issue. But I do respect your comment. By the way, as a LEO friend said "damn, can eat off that gun. Don't you use it. lol" All my firearms are thoroughly cleaned after each use to as new as possible.

PS, JB thanks again for sharing Jame's video. We all know he is not one for caring about other's opinions.
