Cool How are your optics standing up on your MOS ?

Hi I have just purchased a 41MOS and want to add an optic sight . My options are - Burris Fast Fire 3 or Vortex Venom. Iwould like to hear how these and other sights stand up to extended use on MOS Glocks

I have a 17 with a first gen Trijicon RMR and a 19 with a Leupold DeltaPoint. I have several hundred rounds through each and everything still looks fine....no issues at all. Hopefully everything is still good when I have several thousand through them. I do have a Burris FFIII on an AR as well, and everything looks good there so far too. The sights certainly help out with my aging eyes!

I am just moving into optics, older vision sucks, I just purchased an Open Sight. There is a separate thread on it but I just put the sight on yesterday and need to get to the range to zero and start testing.

I have a friend that swears by the Burris Fastfire III and puts them on all his pistol. His eyesight is very poor and says his shooting days would be over with out optic sights.

Best of luck with your new Glock.

I have a couple of C-More RTS2 micro dots on my Open guns... They take a beating... So far two of them have gone bad... Sent them back to C-More for repair/update and they have worked well ever since... If you get a C-More RTS2, make sure the circuit board is updated to version 4... That seems to solve all the problems.

It's the aging eyes with me too. Just picked up the pistol. Has a good feel to it. I tried the extra backstraps , but I think I will leave it stock.
I amleaning towards the Burris Fastfire iii. I will have to save up for a few weeks,.
I will be taking it to the range on Sunday, so I will post a report on how it works for me with the stock sights.
    Thanks for the replies.

I gave the 41 a short workout on Sunday as we had to vacate the range for another group . I only fired 20 rounds of Fiocchi USA FMJ and 10 rounds of my Berry handloads. It was really cutting the centre out of the targets at 10 metres. Not so good at 20 m , where the old eyesight comes into play. That's why I bought an MOS anyway. I can't wait to give it a better workout.
I can see why they give you a mag loader. The 10 shot mags were really hard work for old hands.

After about 10,000 rounds through my G34, my Burris Fast Fire III is working great.

Thanks Medic. That's the sort of thing I am wanting to hear. I am leaning towards the fast Fire III.

The push pin part of the plastic magazine loader that came with my Glock 34 bent and became useless after loading about a dozen magazines. I purchased a Caldwell Mag Charger Universal Pistol Loader and am thrilled with it. It does take a little experimenting to get used to it. But the squeeze lever action requires much less effort to insert cartridges into the magazine than pushing them in with my fingers or fist did.

I'm really happy with my FF3 on my 17L. Around 5k rounds, so far.
