I have been a glock armorer and user for several decades. I have tried just about everything on the market for cleaning and lubricating. I finally decided that my original equipment was the best with one exception. I use a bore snake (preferably the next caliber size up ie 40cal on a 9mm or 45 on a 40S&W) along with Flitz micro polish inside of the barrel and I lubricate with only Wilsons Ultra lub which is more of a grease then an oil. The bore snake with Flitz polish leave the inside of the batten and the ramp as slick as glass so all Ammo feeds greatly and the wilsons is good for any weather, and stays where it is put for upto a year or at least 500 rounds. The Flitz also protects the finish too.

Ultima-Lube II Universal is good oil when it's hot...
Right now it's really hot in Florida, so that's what I use...

Before I went to the Armorers school and they told me “don’t do that”, I used to strip my Glocks completely and use a whole can of cheap carburetor cleaner to and soak everything. After a couple of hours of soaking, I’d use some spray for the left over residue. Run a brush through the barrel a few times, wipe everything down with CLP and reassemble and reload. Done.
Now that I’ve been properly educated, I brush everything off, brush the barrel, lube with Mobil-1 and I’m done.
HA, I do the same..brush off, dry brush for lower. Clean bore, a little oil on a swab for last trip down barrel..Mobil One..for rails, etc. drops.

I cheat and use a Gtul - the brush sold for cleaning mags. Brushes the powder off the entire lower with just a couple of passes through the frame.
