Lasermax gen question for Glock 27

What is the difference in the lasermax gen 1-3 and gen 4? Has anybody successfully used a gen 1-3 in a gen 4 glock 27?

    Thanks

The recoil spring assemblies are different sizes between gen 3 and 4. There are aftermarket adapters for using a gen 3 slide on a gen 4 frame to fill in the gap and keep the RSA from flexing. But I have idea how well they would work with a Lazermax RSA.

I have a red LM in my Gen3 17 and it functions just fine, as the price is the same for each gen, I see no reason to try to use one for the other.
