Thanks everybody for your help and input. I'm going to try some more cleaning on it, then go from there.

"While the anti-gunners seem very concerned about the "one life" that your firearm might take -- they are not very concerned about the lives it will save." Jon H. Gutmacher, Florida Firearms - Law, Use & Ownership
Meh, I can handle name calling, it is just words, what is hard for me to accept is the headstrong, "my way or the highway" attitude that comes with thinking one knows everything there is about a topic when they really know only what their, "I'm a legend in my own mind" mindset allows ....
Name calling is for children, and adults, who do not know how to respond to situations not viewed as "theirs" !
Oddball, I would not worry about it if it does not progress, unless it starts to affect your POI, many WW1 and 2 weapons that shot only caustic ammo and have black pitted barrels still shoot !

I have a kkm barrel in my Glock 34 Gen 3, and I have really liked hear it. Storm Lake is probably one of the less expensive quality barrels as well.
I'm currently using LWD barrels for my several Glocks, when I'm shooting suppressed, with excellent results. Back when I was loading and shooting 10mm, I used an LWD barrel in my G20, because I got more reloads with my brass than with the factory barrel. I've also received excellent warranty services from Glock, especially when Fred was in warranty services. Oh, btw, I've installed approximately eleventy-zillion sets of sights on Glocks, using 271 red Loctite on the front sights. Never had a problem removing those Loctited front sights without applying heat.

Ok, that’s just funny (or really scary)! Did I not just ask “Where’s Walter?”

LOL that was exactly what went through my head when I saw his post! Only problem was I’m pretty sure I didn’t say “Walter” 3x

I emailed Glock Customer Service and sent some photos of the inside of my barrel along also. They sent it to the Technical Service Rep., he suggested I send it in to Glock for evaluation. He called me and told me he would send me out a new barrel free of charge. I'm suppose to receive it tomorrow.I thought that was very good of them! I asked the Tech Rep what could have could have caused the damage, and he said he'd seen it before, but they didn't really know for sure what caused it. He said maybe a piece of lead or jacket material jammed down between the riflings and the next bullet caught it, and it ripped a small chunk of the barrel out. Thanks guys,
